Schmitz Cargobull has acquired a majority stake in Atlantis Global System, a Spanish telematics provider specialising in refrigerated logistics.

This acquisition allows the German semi-trailer manufacturer to strengthen its position in the market by integrating Atlantis Global System’s (AGS) advanced telematics systems with its own refrigerated semi-trailers.

Effective immediately, AGS’s real-time refrigeration data telematics system will be available for all Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated semi-trailers produced at the Zaragoza plant. Additionally, data from Schmitz Cargobull’s standard telematics system will be accessible on the AGS platform.

AGS will maintain its independence as a cold chain specialist within the Schmitz Cargobull Group.

“The partnership with Schmitz Cargobull is an important step to strengthen and further develop the solutions developed by AGS in Spain. It offers a great opportunity to promote new products and further develop advanced fleet management solutions,” remarked Rafael del Pino, founder and CEO of AGS.
