Due to increasing misuse, several fuel card operators have withdrawn the option to top up toll funds in Slovenia’s DarsGo toll collection system, the operator has announced.
Since May, carriers have been unable to top up their DarsGo balance using UTA, E100, or DKV cards, according to the Slovenian operator.
And the difficulties do not end there. This month, a similar restriction is set to apply to the OMV Routex card (BP variant), followed in June by the Eurowag card.
The Slovenian motorway authority DARS is urging all users to adapt to the changes as soon as possible and to select alternative payment methods that are still accepted within the DarsGo system.
The system operator also reminds users that insufficient funds in a DarsGo account will prevent access to the Slovenian motorway and expressway network — a situation that could have serious consequences for transport operators.
