Renault Trucks has made updates to its heavy-duty vehicles, specifically the Renault Trucks T, T High, C & K models, to enhance driver well-being and safety. These updates include optimized cab interiors for comfort and ergonomics, as well as the integration of advanced driver assistance technologies for improved on-road safety.
Renault Trucks has optimised the cab to create a pleasant environment that combines ergonomics, comfort and productivity, the company says.
The vehicles now feature a new adjustable 12-inch main digital display on the dashboard, accompanied by a secondary multifunction touchscreen with an intuitive Android Automobile interface.
Steering wheel controls allow safe operation of both displays, including phone calls, music controls and navigation aids. An induction phone charger can be installed in the cars.
The vehicles have a three-way adjustable steering column, allowing the driver to find his preferred driving position according to body shape, job requirements and personal preferences.
Adjustment is made easy with a foot-operated control that adjusts the position and tilt of the steering wheel, ensuring precision and safety.
The Renault Trucks 2024 Heavy Duty range integrates driver assistance technologies and effective emergency braking systems to ensure the safety of the driver, the load and other road users.
The manufacturer has integrated radars and cameras around the vehicle to increase the driver’s field of vision, simplify manoeuvring and reduce the risk of accidents. Optional cameras can be added to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, the load or the fifth wheel during coupling.
Drivers are automatically informed of tyre pressure levels on the truck and trailer and alerted to any anomalies, preventing excessive fuel consumption or tyre blow-outs. The vehicles are also equipped with an Intelligent Speed Alert (ISA) camera that detects speed limits and warns the driver if they are exceeded, helping to avoid accidents and fines.
Renault Trucks T, T High, C & K models can be equipped with a driver airbag combined with a seatbelt pre-tensioner (standard on Renault Trucks E-Tech T & C models) for maximum safety.
Vehicles can also be equipped with the Optivision Map Based system, which optimises gear-shifting strategies by transmitting topographical data to the on-board computer, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
