The controller responsible for processing your personal data within the Lift Driver App is CodeUpp s.r.o., registered in the Slovak Republic. You can contact us at privacy@codeupp.com.
2. Data We Collect
When you use the Lift Driver App we collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data – name, email address, phone number, profile photo
- Identity & vehicle documents – driving licence, vehicle registration, insurance certificates
- Location data – precise GPS position while the app is active or a trip is in progress
- Trip data – route, distance, duration, pick-up and drop-off points
- Financial data – bank account / IBAN for payout purposes
- Device & usage data – device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, in-app activity
3. Legal Basis and Purposes of Processing

4. Location Data
Precise location is collected while you are online in the app so that nearby passengers can be matched with you. Location collection stops when you go offline. Background location (when the app is closed) is not collected.
5. Sharing of Personal Data
We share your data only where necessary:
- Passengers – name and vehicle details are shared to enable the trip.
- Payment processors – for payout processing.
- Cloud infrastructure providers – for hosting and data storage.
- Public authorities – when required by law.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data Retention
Account and trip data is retained for 5 years after account closure to comply with applicable tax and accounting regulations. Log data is deleted after 90 days. You may request earlier deletion where no legal retention obligation applies.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17)
- Restrict processing (Art. 18)
- Data portability (Art. 20)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing (Art. 7(3))

8. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR, www.dataprotection.gov.sk).
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. For material changes we will notify you via the app or email.
